The traditional heterosexual way of adoption is anticipated by society; when homosexual couples seek to bring adoption of children upon themselves it causes a debate because that’s not what the general public is accustomed to. Much of the homosexual community in the country is slightly aggravated at the presidential conclusion pertaining to marriage laws; furthermore, firm believers of gay and lesbian marriages argue that if gay marriage laws were passed, more children will get adopted. Thus in contrast of the gay marriage laws, others argue if children were adopted by gay and lesbian couples, they would be more likely to become homosexual. Gay couples in society are becoming more open about their sexuality; this will thrust an intangible effort for homosexual followers to push for more rights. ... For years, gay rights groups, working independently, waged court battles over same-sex marriage and lobbied, mostly in vain, against state laws banning it. The Massachusetts court decision in November legalized gay marriage, a turning point that thrust the issue onto the front page. The fight for respectful adoption relates to this matter, if one state can get the marriage law passed then problems with homosexual adoption attempts should dissipate. ...
With the adoption of children by gay and lesbian couples, there are some serious problems that might occur. ...
