As a student attending high school and looking forward to my future, I wanted to interview someone within the community that could enlighten me on a career path. For years I have wondered what to do with my life after high school and when it came down to it cooking is what interested me the most. Today I work at Freshwater Lodge and Bob Evans as a server and kitchen prep. This led me to interview one of my fellow employees at Freshwater Lodge. This employee is a part of the PM cooks and his name is Randy Schaefer.
Randy was born and raised in Minnesota with three younger siblings and his two parents named Steve and Brenda. Well attending high school in Rosemount, Minnesota he took several cooking classes that helped educate him in the field. Also with the knowledge of his family he obtained that basic skills necessary to begin cooking simple and easy meals for his family.
After high school Randy decided on attending college in Traverse City, Michigan at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy. He was looking at a career in the engineering field...
