3. Italy as a country
Italy is located at the Mediterranean and in south- Europe. Italy is a peninsula. Italy has got two islands, which belongs to itself: Sicilian and Sardinian. Italy is formed like a boot who kicking at the ball. (You can see it on the front page)
The neighbours of Italy are: Switzerland, Austria, France and Slovenia. In the north of Italy the Alps are situated.
Italy has got thirty-seven million inhabitants, but the area is eight times bigger then the area from the Netherlands.
Italy has a Mediterranean climate, the summers are very hot and dry, and the winter is soft, but sometimes in the winter there's a lot of rain.
Italy also has a lot of mountains, were it is very cold!..
