Importance of an Education
In today and tomorrow's work force, a college degree is essential to remain competitive and successful. My main objective in attending the University of Phoenix is to attain a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, which would ultimately further my career in law enforcement. There are many goals that must be met, and obstacles to overcome in order to achieve this objective. In meeting my goals, I hope to improve skills that are necessary for today's professional. This program will make this possible through team building and management assignments in addition to individual assignments that will improve professional skills. Some of the skills I hope to improve are; critical thinking, time management, communication, writing, and research skills.
Career Goals
In any career, a degree is an asset that demonstrates commitment and outstanding work ethic that can be applied to any organization. In law enforcement related fields, a degree is not required for most entry-level positions however, for management and elite organizations such as the FBI, DEA and CIA, a degree is required.
