Whose Life is it Anyway?
The story is about a man called Ken Harrison. He lives in a hospital, because he became paralysed in a car accident. He has a ruptured spinal column. Ken is paralysed from the neck and down, so he cannot take care of himself. Ken wants to be discharged from the hospital, and live his own life. The doctors say no, because if Ken does so, he will die. This is exactly what Ken has in mind. He does not want to live any longer, because he does not think that he will ever have a decent life. The doctors want to declare Ken depressed, so that they can keep him for the rest of his life...
