"The one thing that is inevitable is change"
To say that change occurs all around us is almost a truism. However to say that change is inevitable is a step further. As J. F. Kennedy once said, "Change is the law of life." Change is a part of life and nature, and cannot be stopped. In "The Door" by Miroslav Holub, poetic devices are used to convey change. The use of repetition in this poem helps to reinforce the ideas of changing self in this poem. An example of repetition includes "Go and open the door". The poem gives the reader the idea that in order to change yourself you have to "open the door"...
