Bacteria are one-celled organism that is only visible through a microscope. Bacteria can be a really bad thing but for the most part they don’t affect us. The air is filled with bacteria, and they have even entered outer space in space shuttles. Bacteria lives in the lowest parts of the earth and in the deepest parts of the ocean. Bacteria is a natural organism found in our soil, our food, and in plants and animals. Humans have just as many bacteria on them as any other species. Our bodies are the homes to many different bacteria types. ... Our plants depend on what the bacteria do. Bacteria is important to the survival of humans for two main reasons. The first reason bacteria is important is because it works in our immune system to keep viruses out of our system.
