Just War Principles
Just Cause- The initial idea to go to war had just cause because the Iraqi terrorists were a threat to Americans and already took many American lives through 9/11. Also the leader of Iraw was killing his own people in the process so we wanted to bring peace and security making Iraq a civilized people.
Competent Authority- Iraq did this because President Bush called for the war and he is the one in charge of the American public.
Comparative Justice- The war does not fit into being just by these standards. There were only certain groups that posed as a threat, not all the other people. The rights and values being defended did not justify the loss of other lives. In saying that, many people over in Iraq did not have to die for us Americans to get the results we wanted to accomplish.
Right Intention- The reasons of war were absolutely not to prove any sort of economic power. Instead the initiative for attack was to take the evil leaders out of control in Iraq. Another was to instill a progressing Iraqi government in the country where the citizens would feel free...
