Question 11: "Discuss in which ways you think Michael Moore has radicalised television documentary."
In this essay I will question whether Michael Moore has radicalised documentaries, and in that case how. To be able to do so, I will firstly look at the definition of the traditional documentary and secondly attempt to apply this definition to Michael Moore's mode of documentary making. Lastly I will look at some other controversial documentary filmmakers of our time, and question whether Michael Moore alone has radicalised television documentaries or if he is just one of many.
Documentary has been defined as a non-fiction film which usually, although not always, has a particular point of view regarding its subject matter (gs.fanshawec.ca/jda/glossary/glossary_D.htm).
