Leonardo da Vinci
The most well known artist and inventor ever would be Leonardo da Vinci. He was known as "the man of both worlds" expressing that he understood both art and inventor just as equal. The range of his accomplishments was astonishing; he was an anatomist, engineer, mathematician, naturalist and philosopher, as well as a painter, sculptor and architect. Leonardo da Vinci was known as a genius and for his diversity of achievements that we associate with the Italian Renaissance. He was born on April 15th, 1452 and died at the age of 67, on May 2nd, 1519. The place of birth of Leonardo has been discussed for a long time; it seems in fact that he was born at Anchiano which is a part of Vinci, while according to other sites, some critics declare that he was born at Vinci in the year 1452. He was the illegitimate son of Ser Piero Notaio and of Caterina, the wife of Attaccabriga di Piero del Vacca da Vinci. In the rest of the paper will discuss his accomplishments as an artist and as an inventor/scientific discoveries.
