The novel is about a boy named Seymour, who stays with a fussy old guardian who won't let him out; worried his father might take him away. By chance one day he left the house and met a young girl called Angie, who lives in a messy little flat, renting from old women. Angie keeps Seymour Company by taking him to different places around the suburbs, going shopping and catching trams from here to there. With her little 'so called brother' nagging her to do the right things. But what Seymour doesn't know is that Angie is taking drugs.
11 year old Seymour is staying with a fussy old guardian for the summer holidays. By chance he meets the beautiful charismatic Angie and she takes him on outings and shopping sprees. But she is not what she seems. Far from being happy and carefree, she is trapped. She is using drugs...
