Munich
As I take my seat and the train starts to move I take a quick glance out the window. I see fields of edelweiss as far as the eye can see; as if I were in a sea of yellow all around me. As we approach the city you can see the simple, yet very effective, highway system the country uses. When the train comes to a complete stop and I exit, the only cars I can see are BMWs, Porches, or Volkswagens. This was when I realized that I was truly in the heart of one of Germany's largest cities Munich.
Munich is located in southern Germany and is about ninety minutes northwest of Austria. It is home to 1.2 million citizens, making it the third largest city in Germany. Munich became a city in the year 1214 and has been thriving ever since. The city is very rich in culture, from hosting the 1972 Olympic summer games to Oktoberfest to the many museums and castles paying tribute to the kings that made Munich the city it is today...
