Justice is the act of investigating a crime and a suspect being charged with the crime. Then during a trial all evidence pertaining to the crime, the suspect is being accused of committing, is presented to a panel of jurors. Once both the prosecution and the defense have presented their arguments, a panel of the defendant's peers will decide whether or not they are guilty or innocent. If the defendant is found guilty, a proper sentence must be imposed by the court system befitting the crime that was committed.
Another side of justice is the feeling the victim or victims must feel when sentencing is imposed upon the defendant. I feel justice can only be served if the correct suspect who committed the crime is given as lengthy of a sentence that the law will allow in accordance with the crime that was committed. One can only hope that with the out come of the trial the person who did the crime is doing the time and the victim or victims can once again go on with their life with the feeling of being safe. Victims should feel that justice has been achieved for the crime that has been committed against them.
In the profession of crime scene investigator, I plan to investigate each crime by following the rules and regulations set forth by the government and police department that I will work for. I will make sure that the person that I will be helping the government to convict is the guilty person in question...
