In 2003, Jackson County, Arkansas experienced an extreme rise in methamphetamine use. Crystal methamphetamine, is cheap to make, lucrative to sell and is quickly destroying the soul of hundreds of rural communities like Jackson County, Arkansas.
As the statistical reports continue to roll in from all over the nation, it is clear that methamphetamine use is headed toward an epidemic status. Methamphetamine, also known on the streets as crank, crystal and speed, is easy to produce and can be produced in bulk. All that is needed is a "recipe" which is readily available on the Internet, over-the-counter cold medicines and common household products. With a combination of these items and a remote location to hide the powerful telltale odor, one can turn a $150.00 investment into $10,000.00 worth of the drug.
