AMENDMENT I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Imagine if what you thought and what you believed in was censored. Imagine that others disagree with what you say, but that they did not allow you to say it at all. There should not be a limitation put on knowledge. This is what censorship does. Censorship should be banned in the United States because it destroys the guaranteed right of free speech.
Freedom of speech is not freedom of action, and true, people must be held accountable for what they do. Although people make decisions based on information, speech does not "cause" action. Censorship is the use or threat of power to suppress an idea. Freedom of thought and expression are undeniable rights...
