The first harvest is oversix weeks of intense, tiring work of reaping souls that the Savior had so lovingly watered and ripened. Now we have returned to the sweet comfort of our sanctuary, and to the joy of knowing that we will have most evenings to relax in our homesat least some people have that luxury.
But before we get too comfortable, allow me please to ask you a few questions. Now that the crusade is over, are you satisfied or anxious? Are you satisfied with the work we have done so far, or are you concerned that much more could have been done? Are you satisfied with your individual contribution, or are you concerned that you did not give it your best effort?
As I reflect on how God has blessed, I am encouraged by the number of souls he has rescued from the bondage of sin. Yet, so much more could have been accomplished. I am concerned that too many of us are becoming spectatorswillingly so. It is important that all of us remember that evangelism is not a spectator sport, but the lifestyle of every sincere Christian...
