Improve your capacity to influence and motivate other people 4. Give you a new spirit of adventure, creativity, joy zest, excitement, happiness, seizing new opportunities, growth, and learning. B. The seven habits is not a quick fix program. 1. This life philosophy is not based upon some technique or some instant revolution. 2. It is an evolution. You have to pay the price. C. The price basically involves these things: 1. Work diligently to understand. 2. Teach material to others 3. Apply, live the material. D. These habits apply to organizations of every kind 1. Generic habits 2. Common denominator 3. Apply everywhere Power of Paradigms I. What are paradigms? A. A paradigm is your would view based on your frame of reference. 1. A paradigm is a map 2. If you want to make small improvements, work on behavior and attitudes; if you want to make major improvements, shift your paradigm (how you see the situation and your role in it). B. Our paradigms are never complete, never identical 1. As we grow, our paradigms become more and more complete. Compared to life itself, however, our paradigms are incomplete. The essence of being truly objective is to admit we are subjective. 2. No two of us have the same paradigm because our experiences are different; however, we have common elements facilitated communication.
