Always Running by Luis J. Rodriguez is a book based on the life of it's author. The basis on which this book was written, is for Mr. Rodriguez's son Ramiro. His son was starting to get into the gang life in Los Angeles so Rodriguez used this as a reason to finish his book. I think this book was really good.
The book begins with Rodriguez telling the story of how his oldest son Ramiro was starting to get into gang life. This reminded Rodriguez of his childhood in Lomas where he first got involved into "la vida loca" or the crazy life which is what the lifestyle was called at that time. Rodriguez was an immigrant from Mexico he came to the US with his mother, father, brother, and sister. They came to the US in search of a better life than the one they had in Mexico just like all other people that come over from other countries...
