In the poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost, he uses an aaba rhyme scheme in the first stanza, bbcb for stanza two, ccdc for stanza three, and dddd for the last stanza of the poem. In the last stanza of the poem he uses a dddd rhyme scheme. Also, The b in stanza one becomes the b in stanza two, the c in stanza two becomes the c in stanza three, and the d in stanza three becomes the d in stanza four. In the first three stanzas the second line becomes the rhyme word of each succeeding stanza until the last stanza, which is repeated.
In this poem Robert Frost talks of stopping by woods in snow. He also mentions the house in the village. In this poem he writes of two worlds. The wood being the first world seems to offer quietness, solitude and a sense of emotion. The man in the woods with his horse has private signification and freedom.
