Organization impact due to HIPAA regulations
The impact that effective communication can have in large-scale organizational change, and how change management strategies help leaders of organizations achieve desired business objectives may dictate a merger or acquisition, a downsizing, similar systematic change in order to maintain the organizations viability or implementation of new law and regulations. Any change, but especially major change, disrupts the work environment. Deep organizational changes have a profound impact on people within organizations. In fact, today most businesses have accepted the notion that the only thing constant is change. Nonstop change is often referred to as "white water turbulence (that is) forcing most leaders to examine the very essence of their organizations ( Kelley, 2001, p. 66 )". Deciding on direction or making an organizational change is one thing; managing employees personal reactions is yet another. Having the appropriate resources, working together and communicating can be the difference between a successful and satisfying result and one that leaves employees feeling disenfranchised, forgotten, and wounded.
