"The Most Enigmatic of Pop Artists"
Andy Warhol was enigmatic as a pop artist. But he was a genius in his day. His work transcended time and challenged critiques and art collectors alike. I have read many books on Andy Warhol, and I always wonder what gave this timid, gay man so much power. Power to control the pop art world, the power to influence art for the rest of history. In the book the Piece "100 Cans" is the focus. I not only want to focus on this piece and what its effects were on society but I want to dig deeper into the his genius and documented how his death and disaster series captured American culture at a time when death was being ignored.
