There is an infinite number of places to surf but I am going to speak to you of one area that is quickly becoming one of the world’s best. Costa Rica is a surfer’s haven-warm water, great waves, cheap accommodations, and friendly people. There are a few different ways to surf Costa Rica. One is to buy a plain ticket, jump on a taxi, and find a surf break. Another is to go to a surf camp. The last way is to travel the way I did, a private charter boat. Myself and 3 of my friends chartered a boat called the Lohe Lani. It is a 60' catamaran. We were there for 10 days. We flew into San Jose airport and then took a taxi bus to the Costa Rica Yacht Club in Puntarenas.
