1. Describe the following terms and give examples: prejudice, discrimination, pluralism, assimilation, segregation, and genocide. In what was does prejudice, discrimination, pluralism, assimilation, segregation, and finally genocide characterize the U.S. today?
Prejudice and discrimination both go hand and hand. They are both hostile, resentful feeling toward an individual, which serve no purpose but to be superior. People illustrate prejudice and discrimination when the form non-factual opinions about someone. These opinions could be based on race, religion, creed, ethnic background, gender, age, or disability, even something so silly, as what type of status someone holds. Pluralism doesn't single any race or ethnic group out because we all share the same resources...
