Evolution of Individual Rights
It is the seventeenth century before the constitution was written and there was no United States. Many immigrants from England traveled to the newly discovered land, which later became America. While England had individuals that were born into royalty, the first settlers imagined a world where every person was created equal. This was new land and there was no king ruling in this land. Although England had ownership, they were miles across the ocean with no way to communicate directly. Therefore, the first settlers found themselves with an opportunity to make a new set of laws and a new way of life, which eventually led to the writing of the constitution. In order to understand the rights of the people today, it is necessary to look back into history and examine how the constitution came into existence.
The new land had been discovered and there were numerous people migrating to Americas to become a part of a new way of life. The people, who migrated here, the Puritans and the Anglo-Americans, provided key characteristics for America's foundation.
