There were several things I learned this week. The first one being about attributes and how they modify the action of a tag. Some tags don’t use any attributes and others use several. Additionally, attributes exist only in the opening tag. The second thing I learned this week was that there are some tags that require a closing tag and some that do not. For me, I always assumed that each and every tag required an opening and closing tag. Lastly, I had no idea that one could add comments to their code when building web pages. Since this past Thursday, I have been using comments everywhere when building my web page for my individual assignment and they have been helping me tremendously. One does this simply by adding tags to the beginning and end of whatever one wants to enhance. For example, if you wanted to bold the sentence "far and away", you would do the following, far and away . If one wanted to underline it, they would use the following tags instead: . Poorly designed Web sites can lead to lost productivity and revenue. Therefore, how to improve the design of a Web site can be critical.
