Nowadays, international tourism is the biggest industry in the world. Unfortunately, it creates tension rather than understanding between people from different cultures.
As the globalization develops further, international tourism has gained much more attention and higher priority from authorities concerned in terms of economic growth. Meanwhile, some people claim that tensions, rather than understanding between visitors of different cultural background, have been caused during sightseeing. However, I can not accept this point of view.
Frankly, it is not easy for me to seek some so called tensions. Probably, only some problems created by international tourism, such as the harm to the tranquility and sanitation of the local place, even the pollutions to the natural environment, can account for it well. To some extent, these are inevitable phenomena, which, at most, can be regarded side effects.
Probably, we may meet with some troubles when traveling in a foreign country. Sometimes, due to not well knowing the local special even weird custom, we may do something which is considered inappropriate even a violation to native residents...
