Every HSC student must decide where to go at the end of the year. It is a necessary step to take. This step took me three years, naturally in year ten you start to think about what subject you should choose to prepare your self for the right course for the university, for me this step was easy, I chose the suitable subjects for the engineering course because I like physics, maths and in general I like the engineering courses. I would like to point out that unfortunately I did my HSC overseas, which set me back in doing a course at TAFE rather then going to university. I did advanced diploma of electrical engineering (telecommunications, computer and electronics) on the advice of a student consular and the out come of this course is to give me a chance to continue at university. I completed this course in 2003 with a credit grade, then I submitted my application to the UAC with my preferences, my first preference was mechanical and manufacturing engineering at the University of NSW, I decided to join this course because my plan is Aerospace engineering I like this field and I am interested very much in becoming a professional in this industry. The University of New South Wales it self had a role in choosing this course because it had a good reputation nationally and internationally and all so some of my TAFE teachers encouraged me towards this university so I was very happy and excited when I received a university offer in the 1st round. What I expect of it is a lot of hard work which is natural when you under take any engineering course. I will do my best and put a lot of effort, I will be committed to my duties to finish my plan successfully. I will expect a lot of enjoyment and competition with my fellow students, I will make lots of friends and we will be working together in groups to solve problems and to achieve our goals, I will gain a lot of experience and skills through the theoretical and practical work which is important and vital to create the engineering side of me...
