In this report I will be discussing the three important benefits IBM will receive from outsourcing their Human Resources functions to Fidelity and how IBM will benefit from it. Fidelity Investments is a diversified company that has a branch called Fidelity's Employer Services Company. This branch specializes in handling all aspects of HR. IBM chose Fidelity to take over specific HR functions. These functions were pension administration, health-plan administration and career services. I think one of the reasons IBM chose Fidelity is their great reputation for handling big business. With over 11,000 contracts covering 1.2 million employees in the workplace, IBM felt secure in placing the most important functions of their HR in the hands of this company.
Now let's look at the benefits. First of all with IBM choosing such a reputable company like Fidelity to handle it's HR functions, it gives employees the comfort of knowing that they will be taken care of by true professionals...
