I will attempt once again to provide a possible solution to for this week 3 assignment which I will try and address the topic: "Data Network Infrastructure in the Workplace".
Verizon will be the primary provider of these services needed to fulfill the "Data Network" requirement of a medium to large size business. This paper will make an attempt to cover areas of concern such as the type of wiring, speed, protocols, infrastructure components, routers and other hardware which allow a system of this nature to meet the necessary requirements.
Let's begin by taking a look at a few technologies Verizon has to offer:
T-1 {Private Line}
Frame Relay
Integrated Data and Voice
DLS
Dedicated Internet Access {DIA}
A T-1 line gives you a private, secure and direct voice and data connection to another office location or Internet Service Provider. The line consist of 24 individual digital channels, each of which delivers 64Kbps per second (for a total 1.544 Mbps in bandwidth). Each 64 Kbps channel can be configured to support voice, data, and video applications.
