Guys, Guys, Guys, what are we doing? I unfortunately am up here to announce some traumatising and heart breaking news. Boy's educational outcomes are on the decline! Y is this important you ask? For so long we have thought of ourselves to dominate the battle of the sexes, BUT Australian studies are proving us to be dumb!! And I for one will not accept this! Looking out now seeing all the girls smirk at this really hurts me, and should hurt you.
On October 21st 2002, The House of Representatives Education Committee released its report titled "Boys: Getting it Right" on the education of boys. The long lasting two year inquiry consisted of taking evidence from more than two hundred witnesses and examining 200 submissions before reaching its sobering conclusion which is boys have been falling well behind girls in school education, particularly over the past decade.
Recent trends in education indicate that boys have educational needs that are not being met..
