Hinduism is the belief, practices, and socio-religious institutions of the people known as Hindus. This is mainly the people of India, some parts of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Sikkim, but also communities in other parts of the world. Hinduism is a religion with many gods, yet there are only three goods that control the world. They are: Brahma-the creator, Vishnu-the preserver, and Shiva-the destroyer. They believe Vishnu has done his part by reincarnating himself into different forms in time of disaster. All of three gods have wives that are goddesses. Brahma's wife is Sarasvati- goddess of learning. The wife Vishnu is Lakshmi-goddess of wealth and prosperity. Shiva's wife is Parvati who is worshipped as Kali or Durga.
