Through A survey we decided to see if there was a double standard between the way sixteen and seventeen year old male and female teens thought of the "ladies man" and a "whore". We organized the results to see a difference between males, females, black males and females with no father figure at home. The questions of the survey had to deal with the following topics, Respect about "pimps" and "sluts", the need to make out on a date, dating and marrying promiscuous partners, the importance of looks and personality, and sex partners. Through this survey we are clearly able to see the double standard between males and females in relationships.
In the start of the study we were able to record our thoughts about the double standard. By just thinking about what guys and girls my age talk about I came up with the following. In relationships men tend to be more sexually oriented while women tend to be more about the relationship oriented. With males my age there are some who are all about the booty and some that are more sensitive type. Men tend to date women they are attracted to physically while women are attracted to the true guy, they look deeper than the first appearance. Also men that are sexually active will be viewed as the cool guy buy their friends, and they will brag about it...
