As of today, the official 9 planets that we know of and have studied for hundreds of years are MERCURY, VENUS, THE EARTH, MARS, JUPITER, SATURN, NEPTUNE, URANUS AND the tiny planet, PLUTO.
These 9 planets were once thought of being the only 9 that mankind will ever come to know of in our solar system, BUT during recent years that statement has taken a huge step back. The fact is that we are on the brink of discovering another planet, a new planet, the tenth planet and astronomers are so certain of this planet's existence that they have already named it PLANET X.
