The sound of the gun rings through the air as the runners sprint off. The leader of the pack pushes through as though it's just another jog in the park. Her breathing becomes a beat to keep her steady pace. As she comes around the fourth lap she doesn't even hear the cheering of the crowd encouraging her to push, all she is focusing on is the finish line. She builds up all that is left in her and gives it her all. She sprints past the finish line with a time of 6:07:01, an all time record.
Sounds like the perfect achievement, doesn't it?? I wish I could say it was my own, but my achievement was a little different. Let me just start by saying that I am not the best when it comes to physical activities. I had a little extra time during freshmen year so I decided to try out for a sport just for fun..
