Is No Adoption Better Than a Gay Adoption?

My heart goes out to Dan Savage for putting up with the horrible and out-dated laws of this country. This man was kind enough to take a child out of foster care and bring him into his own home. I do not think it should matter if his home was one of heterosexual or homosexual parents. Many children are in need of a good home. What right does the state of Florida have in saying that a heterosexual couple would better parent a child than a homosexual couple?
I guess it is that law made in 1977. If the leaders of Florida have not noticed yet, things have changed since 1977. I would also like to know what these anti-gay West Virginians do in there spare time besides look up every gay adoption transaction and send threatening emails. I am a firm believer in keeping church and state separate...
