The process of globalisation, in conjunction with advances in technology has perpetuated the global spread of Buddhist values by allowing increased access to the belief system. However, the fundamental beliefs of Buddhism may come in conflict with the various secular belief systems of the western world, potentially determining the acceptance or rejection of Buddhism.
