Dear Ministers of Education,
In almost every classroom in the Danish schools, we have a computer connected to the Internet; this means we are connected to the whole world online.
We can write to pen pals, look at pictures and read texts by people from all over the world.
Low prices and hard competition on airplane tickets have the impact, that we can go on vacation almost every where in the world.
We are doing business with foreign low cost countries on the other side of the globe in an instance because of new information technology.
All these matters are fantastic in order to meet and communicate with foreign cultures.
But it's just not enough; in order to understand and respect a foreign culture you have to experience the special codes that are common in a country or country part. Almost every country has for example its own way to say; hello.
In some parts of the world, it's rude to look in directly in the eyes, shake hands with a woman, or use left or right hand when you are eating...
