Julie of the Wolves
This was a really good book, and it was so very intriguing. Julie at the beginning of the story was in the North Slope of Alaska during winter. She learned the language that the wolves spoke to help her live. Without the help of Amaroq, Pearl, Nails, Silver, Jello, Kapu, Zit, Zat, Zing and Sister she would have not had any food, protection, or help while she was lost. The story flashbacked and told how she had got lost in the first place.
Miyax Kapugen (Julie Edwards) lived with her dad called Kapugen, because her mom died when she was only four. Julie then had to go live with her dad's Aunt Martha. She had to live with Aunt Martha to be able to go to school after she had reached the age. Her dad didn't go with her because he had to go to war. But, before she left to go live with her Aunt Martha Kapugen Julie she could leave when she turned thirteen by marrying his co-worker Naka's son...
