There are a number of issues that were raised against Globalization, the World Trade Organization, and policy on Privatization. It is a great thing to know that nations today are becoming more aware of the progress of other nations. These nations saw the need to form relationships in order to foster economic growth as well as development. But like we had seen, the opposite of it is happening. Instead of making nations form a stronger relationship in terms of economic progressiveness, divisiveness is transpiring and locally, the people of a poor country becomes even poorer. The gap between the rich and poor country worsen and this was because of the unfair treatment given to the poorer countries. Just like what happened in the WTO meeting in Cancun, Mexico, where in the poor countries accused the WTO of adopting policies, which are very biased and favored mostly the richer countries. This should not be the case if we would refer to the main goal of both the concept of Globalization and that of the WTO and Privatization as well. And this is very much visible in the Philippine setting, where different interest groups rally against these new economic concepts.
