The Crying Cherokee Woman
"Kip!!" echoed through my mind as I was suddenly awakened from my journey into dreamtime. "What?" I shouted as I struggled to regain my bearings and sit up in bed. I looked at Ginger and tried to rub the sleep out of my eyes. I really didn't appreciate being awakened this early in the morning, especially after the hard time I had of trying to get to sleep. I had just fallen asleep and into the recesses of the mind that bring forth the haunting and reoccurring dreams. I knew, however, that my wife would never wake me like that unless it was something important. It just had to be.
She looked at me with this fear in her eyes that told me just how scared she truly was..
