Scrapping the Pork Barrel
The pork barrel is also known as the Countryside Development Fund (CDF). This is allocated to the 236 congressmen in the Philippines. Each of the 236 congressmen in the Philippines is has a P65 million pesos budget.
For me, I want the congressmen to give up the pork barrel that they are having now. I want them to give up the pork barrel because this is one form of corrupting the government. The congressman has a very big budget but only very small development has been done to our country, or even to the city. They can even barley fix our road. And if ever they will be able to fix the road, is its not properly fixed, or not properly paved. So where did the 65 million pesos budget of each congressmen go? Nowhere else, but in the pockets of each of the congressmen...
