The idea of a panic attack may sound farfetched to someone who has never experienced one, but to those who have, the fear of panicking is very real. Don't Panic, brings insight into the cause of panic attacks and gives the sufferer hope and motivation to overcome his or her fear. Although panic attacks affect both men and women, men are more likely to try to escape from the experience and symptoms. Panic attack sufferers are often sensitive, intuitive, determined, self-critical people. They also tend to be overwhelmingly negative.
Again, panic attacks can vary widely from person to person. The most kind is where sufferers feel they're going to faint. The heart beats faster, palms sweat, vision blurs and there can be a ringing in the ears. Some may also feel as if they want to vomit, others have diarrhea. Whatever the symptoms of an individual's attack, they're said to be very frightening...
