Barbara Ann Walters is one of the most well known female journalists in the world.1 She has received many awards for her success in the news world as well as her countless interviews, which revel more than most interviews. She has a reputation for getting interviews with some of the most famous people and controversial figures and is known for her straightforward questioning and her ability to get candid answers.2
Barbara Walters was born on September 25, 1931 in Boston Massachusetts. Her parents are Lou Walters (night club owner and theatrical producer) and Dena Walters. Her daughter, Jacqueline Walters Guber Danforth, was from her second marriage, which was to Lee Guber (a theatrical producer). Her first husband was Robert Henery Katz (a business exectuive) and that marriage was annulled. She married Lee Guber on December 8, 1963 and they got divorced in 1976. Her third marriage was to Merv Adelson (CEO of Lorimar Television) and they were married from 1986-1992.1
Barbara attended school at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York and received her Bachelor of Arts in 1953...
