Theodora was the wife of Justinian who was crowned emperor of the Byzantine Empire in 527 ad. Justinian's first ruling with his new supreme power was to share it with the woman that he loved and one was known as Theodora. Theodora as his wife ruled by his side, not just as his wife but also as his partner and with her great intelligence help him make great decisions. While researching her exact place of birth it would found to not been established. Some say she was born on an island know as Crete of the cost of Greece, others believe that she was born in Syria. The following paragraphs will give detail to the life and times of Theodora (Koeller 1999).
Theodora and her two sisters Comito, and Anastasia where sent by their mother in the garb of suppliants, into the midst of the theatre at a very young age because their father passed away suddenly and left them destitute.
