Why is it, that the gymnasium education here in Denmark, is one of the most popular amongst students that have finished primary school? - And if it is so popular, why is the government introducing cutbacks to the gymnasiums budgets, and what do the students think of this? I went to talk with a student to find out.
I talked with one of the students from Kge gymnasium, her name is Katrine Svendsen.
It is her second year in gymnasium. She is seventeen and is looking forward to be 18. She wants to celebrate this special day with family and friends, and of cause she is dying to see, which wishes she will get for filled. The best part about turning eighteen though, is that she will be able to get her drivers licence and the study grants, which she can get from the State Education Fund.
Another thing she is going to enjoy too, is the independence which comes with her awaiting age. Voting is another benefit, which shell be able to harvest from the day she turns eighteen, but yet she hasn't found out which of the political parties she agrees with...
