EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Walt Disney Company is doing what no ever company has ever done; it has a corporate strategy to dominate the entertainment industry, by utilizing Television, Amusement Parks and Motion Pictures. I have examined the company's environment, strength, weaknesses and current problems. The company just has to get Motion Picture division cost under control if it is to continue to be in that part of the industry.
I recommend the following steps to control cost and continue to be the leading corporation in the entertainment industry.
1. Decide a set budget for Walt Studio Division at the beginning of each year.
2. Ensure that the movie directors are held accountable for cost overruns.
