Every good community has a set of features that are necessary for the group's survival and overall effectiveness. Within the context of the Hebrew Bible, the ancient Israelite community has been fortunate to portray many positive features that have lead to its great influence on our modern day society today.
Throughout the biblical stories of Genesis and Exodus, God had called upon a select few people to carry out his plan. Some of these select few include Noah, Joseph and Moses. Each one was chosen because God knew that these were just and righteous people that he could count on to help lead his nation.
The first person that God chose to fulfill his plan was Noah. Noah was a blameless man who was trusted by God. In God's eye, the earth was corrupt and the earth was filled with violence. God told Noah that he was going to send a flood upon the land for forty days and forty nights destroying all of humankind. Noah was to construct an ark and bring along his sons, wife, and his sons wives with him...
