No Regrets, by Krista Bell, is an excellent novel for young teenagers because it explores the many challenges that they would face, like bullying at school and at home. Julia, the main character, is gifted and talented especially in music, so much so that she was chosen to perform at the Music Festival in Hobart. Whilst she was away, her mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This discovery impacts heavily on Julia's life and helps her to understand herself in a greater depth. She learnt that she gives out too much information, that she wants to choose her own life and she realised how much she loves her mother.
Julia has obtained a lot of knowledge throughout her life and has kept that information in her mind. She enjoys using it in many of her conversations, not that the people she is conversing with, do. While Julia and her father were in the hospital, they listened to Mrs Wright's doctor, who was explaining about her diagnosis. While listening to the doctor talking, about her mother's diagnosis, Julia thought that the doctor was telling them a lot of information. She then realised that she too, provided too much detail in her conversations,
