Every day people have to make decisions regarding purchases of goods or services. These decisions are effected by a set of conditions which finally convince a buyer to make a final choice. Buyer's tendency to repeat their choices and return to the same supplier means that this particular seller offers them something special competitors couldn't. This ability of the company to perform in one or more ways which distinguish it from competitors is called "competitive advantage". The success stories of many firms prove that in the business world the winners are those companies whose customers recognize company's competitive advantage as their own advantage. Many specialists claim that the best recipe for getting the competitive advantage is to deliver high customer value and satisfaction. This leads to high repeat purchases and ultimately to high company profitability (Philip Kotler).
