Thomas Jefferson’s Views Opening Statement Hello, and let me welcome you to this debate. Let me just say that when I helped write the Constitution to lay down a descent base of government for this, the greatest united people in the world, I made sure to include the rights for the common man specifically. Common people started this revolution and common men shall reap its benefits. Under my leadership, this country will not only be in the best hands possible, but I will also interpret the Constitution as it was meant to be interpreted, as well as pull this country out of debt with perhaps even some money to spare.
